The Sexy Men of YEG Food Calendar- Available Now!

Sexy Men of YEG food

“So, Corey and I want to do a food calendar and we think you should be in it. All the proceeds would go to the Edmonton Food Bank. Are you in?” – famous last words from Owen Petersen.

This is how it all started, this Sexy Men of Yeg Food business. Notice how my friend Owen conveniently forgot to mention the name or the premise of said calendar and just sucked me in with the promise of raising a bunch of money for a great charity?

If you don’t already know, the Owen I’m referring to is Owen Petersen of Prairie Mill Bread Company here in Edmonton, and Corey is Corey Meyer of Acme Meat Market. They’re the masterminds behind this whole fundraiser, and are no strangers to stepping up for charity initiatives, having helped me with Ronald McDonald House’s Home for Dinner program regularly among other projects around town.

One of my favourite things about the whole project is the guys involved covered all the costs of production out of our own pockets, and local photographer Bri Vos from Detour Photography and designer Patrick Kerby of Patrick Kerby Design donated their talents plus a ton of time to make this come together.

That means 100% of your $20 purchase price goes directly to the Edmonton Food Bank.

I think most of us “models” were a little (A LOT) uncomfortable with posing for sexy-type pictures, but a shot of peach schnapps and a little encouragement was all it took to get over the “my nipple is showing” jitters. Stop by any one of the locations below and check out our nipples for yourselves; the calendars also make the perfect stocking stuffer for that beefcake loving woman or man on your shopping list, so pick up a couple and help support a great cause.

The calendars are available at:

  • Acme Meat Market   9531- 76 ave
  • Prairie Mill Bread   14253 -23 ave
  • Vinomania   11452 Jasper ave.
  • Earths General Store   10150 104 st
  • Alley Kat Beer   9920- 60 ave
  • Knifewear Edmonton 10816- 82 ave

Our goal is to sell 1000 calendars, which will raise $20,000 for the food bank, and they are selling fast! If your location of choice is sold out, try somewhere else, or stop by again in a couple of days because we are printing more every few days to restock!  Let’s make this a Merry Christmas for everybody!
