If ever there was a festival tailor made for me, it’s got to be Baconfest. The inaugural festival runs on July 4th in and around the ATB Financial Arts Barn in Old Strathcona on July 4th, and combines a lot of my favourite things- bacon, comedy, music, and cocktails, into one night of glorious over-indulgence. So what’s included in your $75 ticket price, you ask?
- samples of bacon-centric dishes from 10 of Edmonton’s most bacon loving restaurants (and 2 butcher shops)
- samples of bacon flavoured drinks- bacon caesar, bacon vodka, maple bacon beer…
- A performance from Firefly Theatre
- A bacon gift bag
- More bacon themed music and entertainment
*ticket prices do not include angiograms, or the inevitable post-festival gym membership As a bonus for you fellow nitrite junkies, Baconfest organizers have given me a pair of tickets to give away! Here’s how to enter the draw.
